Surfers and ocean lovers, as well as fine arts aficionados will be treated to breathtaking bursts of Hawaiian surf on the big screen, narrated by Clark Little. After the formal presentation there will be an opportunity to meet and talk story with the artist. The slideshow presentation is roughly 30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers.
With the publication of Clark's debut book, The Shorebreak Art of Clark Little, book signings will also be incorporated into the slideshow event this year.
The 2009 Tour was a great success and hit 13 locations including venues in Brazil, Canada, Japan, Maui and up and down the coast of California, USA.
The Spring & Summer 2010 Tour will be going to Brazil, Japan, California, Seattle, Oahu and Maui.

30 minute Slideshow Movie includes slideshow segments of North Shore waves set to music, in-water video footage of Clark capturing his images, Clark surfing Waimea Bay shorebreak, and insight from Clark on how he captures his stunning images. The W Hotel San Diego will be exhibiting 14 pieces of Clark’s work for the months of summer. Artwork will found throughout the hotel including the lobby, bar, corridors, poolside and rooftop beach. Some pieces will be the largest Clark Little installations ever exhibited. Enjoy hosted bites, specialty cocktails and music. Pick up prints, calendars or signed-on-site copies of Clark Little's debut book "The Shorebreak Art of Clark Little". Clark's video slideshow with interviews, in-water action shots, surfing Waimea shorebreak and other great scenes will be playing on screen and video monitors in the hotel during the opening reception.

Last summer Clark made one of his first San Diego appearances at Surfindian to celebrate the launch of the Musubi Map. One year later the “island information” publication will celebrate their anniversary in the same fashion with good food, beautiful people and Clark as a featured guest. Clark will be there to sign books and his art will be available for purchase in a variety of media.

As part of the Summer exhibition, Beach Science: It’s a Shore Thing!, Clark Little will be exhibiting 3 large wall installations. The biggest shorebreak wave installation will be 10' wide and feel like the wave is coming at you. In the exhibition space there will be a wave machine, sand dunes, an outdoor sand box, and history of the bikini. The movies Ultimate Wave Tahiti and Deep Sea will also be playing in the IMAX DOME. Note: Clark will not be attending the exhibition opening. |

Clark Little's first event in Washington took place at Evo headquarters in Fremont District of Seattle. Clark screened his Slideshow Video (25 minutes) and also brought his camera gear and conduct Q&A / talk story. Six large canvas prints were on display throughout the event venue. The canvases will be for sale along with books and smaller matted prints. After the presentation and Q&A, there was a book signing. In case you don't know, Evo is a snow, skate, wake and apparel store with a dedicated art gallery and event space. They host 40 + events throughout the year including ski and snowboard film premiers to cd release parties and art openings. Check out their website.
When we locked in a show with Clark Little here at evo we had NO idea that you guys blow down the doors of this place like you did!!!! Thanks to everyone for coming out! We had people show up an hour before the slideshow was to start…and people lined up to purchase some of Clark’s books and to get autographs and stuck around well after doors would normally close! The show was one of a kind. We were treated to a narrated slideshow featuring a series of photos and video clips documenting and disecting some of his shoots, talking about his tools of the trade and the trials and tribulations of his craft. If you get a chance to attend one of his book signings this summer, i highly recommend it! - Evo staff (June 2010)
